I read Gone Girl last year by Gillian Flynn and could not put it down. For those of you who have read it, maybe you felt the same as me when finished-shocked and slightly disturbed. I love to get completely lost in a book though, so I decided to read another one of Gillian’s books. Sharp Objects completely sucks you in with each unthinkable plot twist. Yes, I could not put this book down, but I experienced a similar feeling to Gone Girl when I was done-disturbed, uneasy, and honestly just kind of odd. I don’t like scary movies at all because they always end badly, so maybe that’s why Gillian and I don’t jive. I think I’ll stick to more uplifting books for a while.
Have any of y’all read this book?
